Each family member needs their own visa at the same fee. Fees are not refunded if you cancel the visa. Your passport should be valid for at least 90 days, your iqama must cover the trip, and any traffic fines must be paid first.

Who pays?

Under article 40 of the Saudi Labor Law, the employer pays the worker's own exit/re-entry visa and the return ticket home when the contract ends. Your family's visas and the dependent fee are usually yours to pay, unless your contract says otherwise.

In January 2024 Jawazat cancelled the 3-year ban on workers who left on an exit/re-entry visa and did not return before it expired.

300 SAR: 200 SAR for the first 2 months plus 100 SAR for the third month.

Can I extend my exit/re-entry visa from outside Saudi Arabia?

Yes, through Absher or your employer's Absher Business, at double the monthly rate: 200 SAR a month for a single visa and 400 SAR a month for a multiple visa.

Does my employer pay for my exit/re-entry visa?

For the worker himself, yes: article 40 of the Labor Law puts the exit/re-entry visa fee on the employer. Family members' visas are usually paid by the worker.

Is there a fee for a final exit visa?

No. But you must leave within 60 days of it being issued, or pay a 1,000 SAR fine.
