The law behind this calculator

Frequently asked questions
Why is GOSI deducted from my salary?
Saudi employees pay their share of the pension and SANED unemployment insurance each month. The employer deducts it from the salary and pays it to GOSI together with its own share.
Do expats pay GOSI?
No amount is deducted from a non-Saudi worker's salary. The employer pays 2% of the wage for occupational hazards, which covers work injuries and occupational diseases.
What is the new pension rate for new employees?
Saudis who first joined GOSI from 3 July 2024 pay a higher pension rate that rises gradually: 10% on each side from July 2026, up to 11% from July 2028. Those who contributed before that date stay at 9%.
Is the transport allowance included?
No. Only the basic salary, the housing allowance (cash or in kind) and regular commissions count. Transport, food and one-off bonuses are left out.
Where can I check my registered wage?
In the GOSI app or on gosi.gov.sa, where you can see your registered wage and contribution periods.
